Kew Gardens, New York, September 23, 2016 – Panamax Inc., one of the leading provider of telecom technology solutions, deployed a highly efficient class 4 Softswitch clubbed with TDM Gateway solution for its client Salnet, in El Salvador, thus replacing Alcatel’s 12 Rack Space consisting 144 E1’s into just a 2 Rack space.
We spoke to Mr. Mahavir Shah, COO, Panamax, about the project: “A Class 4 Soft-switch with SIP & H.323 Protocol Support and several other features and requirements that Salnet had asked for, were fulfilled. The client was happy and we have now got together for a few more projects with Salnet” he said. Mr. Shah further said that his team was positive of delivering excellence throughout all the future projects and establish a long term association with their esteemed client.

El Salvador Networks S.A. (Salnet) is one of the leading telecommunications company based in El Salvador. The company primarily offers Residential and commercial digital telephone services, International and local long distance services and calling card services for international and long distance applications in addition to data services for commercial customers.

As the number portability for fixed and mobile operators was launched in El Salvador, Salnet joined hands with Panamax, to get LNP support and also to replace its existing legacy system with a more compact, efficient and a superior system. Panamax reformatted the CDR’s in Salnets mediation platform BYTE and whitelisted look up on TDM gateway. A support engineer was deployed at the client site to ensure a streamlined project execution. The administrative portal of iMax was localised to be available in the Spanish language. Some other Salnet specific customizations included Erlang reports on monitoring of all SS7/E1/ISDN traffic and vendor deal management.

“We were very happy to get a project from Salnet and have given it our best,” said Mr. Bankim Brahmbhatt, CEO Panamax Inc. “We ensured that the client Salnet got a competitive edge by providing LNP support and also made sure that the switch/gateway could be easily managed using GUI based portal rather than using CLI commands. Successful delivery of this project, led to a further association as we have now partnered with Salnet for two more projects that involve a class 5 switching solution and an MFS solution,” said CEO Mr. Bankim Brahmbhatt.
